My name is Jim Willit (aka jimmyleedoc). I have a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from N.C. State University and have worked at Argonne National Lab since earning that degree. My research at Argonne has been in applications of molten salt electrochemistry to the recycling of used reactor fuel. I also teach chemistry a couple of evenings a week at local colleges (mostly community colleges but I did teach 3 semesters at Wheaton College). I enjoy the mix of research and teaching a smaller class of adult students. Scientists have a different way of looking at the world combined with a desire to understand how things work. This blog is basically my musings as a scientist (and a believing Christian) on various theological subjects and on scientific subjects as a believing Christian. Some may say the two perspectives are not compatible. But they would be wrong.
